Construction of the Pernerka Gallery enters its next phase

Work on the Pernerka Gallery construction site continued throughout December, and after the Christmas break, the project will be back in full swing in January. The construction is currently on schedule for completion at the end of 2025, with significant progress planned for the turn of January and February 2026.

In recent weeks, excavation work has been carried out to the piling level, accompanied by intensive removal of sand and material from pile drilling. At the same time, sorted municipal waste has been removed from the construction pit, and the removal of sorted materials from the bus station area is also continuing.

The northern construction road from the main entrance on Kpt. Bartoše Street has been completed and is now completely concreted. Earthworks on the western road along Kpt. Bartoše Street have also been completed, where the surface is being concreted in several stages. Work is also continuing on the excavation of the protective layer of the foundation joint, and areas are being prepared for the next anchoring level.

The securing of the construction pit with sheet piling has been completed to the maximum extent possible. Anchoring is proceeding according to plan on the north, west, and south sides of the pit. Completion of the remaining part of the exit ramp, with an area of approximately 1,250 m², is planned for mid-January 2026.

The pumping of groundwater is also continuing uninterrupted. Nineteen of the twenty wells in the main construction pit are in operation, and the water level is being kept stable below the foundation joint, which allows for the safe continuation of excavation work.

Piling work is also continuing on the construction site – a total of 142 piles have currently been completed, forming the foundation of the future load-bearing structure of the building. At the same time, work is underway on the utility networks, including the relocation of sewers and preparations for the installation of new manholes.

After the holiday break, all key professions are gradually returning to the construction site.
